Privacy Policy

QuitNicotine AI is developed and published by Amatto Labs. You can contact us at contact@amattolabs.com for any privacy-related requests.

We collect only the data necessary for the App to function. This includes:

• Onboarding profile: Your chosen nicotine product(s), baseline usage, quit goal, timeline preference, and confidence level.
• Daily check-in data: Actual usage entries and whether you hit your target each day.
• AI coach messages: Messages you send to the AI coach and the responses received. These are used to provide context-aware coaching.
• Anonymous device ID: A randomly generated identifier used to associate your data with your device. It is not linked to your name, email, or any real-world identity.

We do not collect: your name, email address, phone number, location data, advertising identifiers (IDFA), or any analytics tracking SDKs.

Local-first by default. All data is stored on your device using iOS local storage (AsyncStorage). Nothing is transmitted off your device unless you explicitly enable cloud sync.

Optional cloud sync. If you choose to enable sync, your data is stored in Supabase (hosted on AWS in the EU region). By default, your account is anonymous. No login credentials are required. You can optionally link your Apple ID for multi-device access.

All cloud data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest.

When cloud sync is enabled, an anonymous account is automatically created using a random UUID. This account cannot be traced back to you without access to your device.

If you choose to link your Apple ID, your Apple ID is used only to authenticate your identity for multi-device sync. We do not receive your Apple ID email or personal data. Only an Apple-provided identifier.

We use the following third-party services to operate the App:

• RevenueCat: Manages subscription state and App Store purchases. They may receive a device identifier and subscription status. RevenueCat Privacy Policy
• Supabase: Optional cloud sync storage provider (AWS EU region). Used only if you enable sync. Supabase Privacy Policy
• Google (Gemini AI): Powers the AI coach feature. Messages you send to the coach are processed by Google's Gemini API. These are not linked to any personal identity. Google Privacy Policy

We do not sell your data to any third party. These processors are used solely to provide App functionality.

To be explicit, we do not collect or process:

• Names, email addresses, or phone numbers
• Location data (GPS or coarse location)
• Advertising identifiers (Apple IDFA or similar)
• Behavioral analytics or usage tracking SDKs
• Health records or biometric data
• Payment information (handled entirely by Apple)

You have the following rights regarding your data:

• Local data: You can delete all local data at any time by deleting the App from your device or using the in-app data reset option.
• Cloud data: To request deletion of your cloud data, email contact@amattolabs.com with “Delete my data” in the subject line. We will action this within 30 days.
• Data export: You can request a copy of your stored data by emailing us.
• GDPR requests (EU users): You have the right to access, rectify, erase, or restrict processing of your data. Contact us to exercise these rights.
• CCPA requests (California users): You have the right to know what personal information is collected and to request deletion. We do not sell personal information.

Local data is retained until you delete the App or manually clear it. Cloud data (if sync is enabled) is retained until you request deletion. We do not retain data beyond what is necessary for App functionality.

QuitNicotine AI is not intended for users under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child under 13 has used the App, please contact us and we will take steps to remove any associated data.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be communicated through the App or App Store update notes.

Your continued use of the App after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
